I've decided that if I ever want to get back to actually posting any recs instead of just sitting paralyzed in front of my giant pile of bookmarks, I need to abandon the idea of "catching up" in any systematic way and just pick a trope/theme and post a limited number of stories that I enjoyed, say five.
